Our Story – From One Truck to the Inner West's Trusted Tow Service
Ashfield Towing started in 2015 with a single tilt-tray truck and a simple idea: offer honest, local, no-nonsense towing to the Inner West community. The founder, a lifelong Inner West resident, had seen too many drivers overcharged by out-of-area operators who didn’t know Ashfield’s streets or its challenges.
The first few years were built on word-of-mouth. A jump start here, a flatbed recovery there. Local mechanics started recommending us. Apartment managers passed our number to tenants. Small businesses added us to their preferred supplier lists. By 2018, we’d added a second truck. By 2020, a third. Today, we operate a modern fleet of flatbed and tilt-tray trucks, all based locally in the 2131 postcode.
We’re still family-owned. We still answer the phone locally. And we still prioritise the Inner West — because that’s our home, and those are our neighbours.
